in other news:

i’ve been reading each and every comment about 50 times a piece, and getting really excited to know you guys exist.  it’s pretty amazing – you know, that thing where awesome sounding people say that they like the same things you do?  yes, i’m stoked!

jeannette and will took us for a late-afternoon river swim.  i would tell you which one, but i don’t remember.  jeannette kindly loaned me and amber some flip-flops for river-entry, which i didn’t think would be needed – until i saw the 2′ deep muck we had to march through to get to the good stuff.  (i learned an important lesson today – don’t assume something about a place you’ve never been to.  especially when a kind local is trying to help you out with flip-flops.)
