i recently broke down and bought the Canon G1o, (the most amazing point-and-shoot on the face of the planet.  it sleeps next to me.)  it takes jaw-dropping 15-megapixel photographs, which means i can crop the hell out of stuff.  which also means the hobby i’ve heard referred to as “the lazy man’s art form” (someone elses words.  don’t kill the messenger.)  just got lazier for me.  

around the same time, i procured a 500GB portable hard drive  so i could preserve all my moments forever.  however, the laziness has leaked into all corners of my life, and my computer is currently bogged down by so many thousands of 15-megapixel photos that lurches at even the tap of the “backspace” key.
